Tarkan Batgün

Mr. Tarkan Batgün is the CEO of Comparisonator, a football data comparison platform that helps decision-makers compare players and teams based on 500 parameters covering 271 leagues around the world. He was also a board member of Altinordu FK in the 2020-21 season. He has 20 years of analytical expertise in the football industry and was formerly scouting director at Bursaspor, where he opened the first scouting lab of its kind.

Award winning former Director of Scouting & Recruitment at Bursaspor Football Club, Mr. Batgun is offering wealth of experience from a club & agency point view of the football business, including establishing scouting & match analysis departments world wide. Currently head of Comparisonator operations as the company CEO, he was also Board Member of Altinordu FK in 2020-21 season. Having analytical know-how in football industry over the last 20 years; he was the former Director of Scouting in Bursaspor-inventing first of its kind “Scouting Laboratory”; working experience of SoccerLab, Wyscout and SportsCode analysis and scouting tools together with past football player career; educational background coming from University of Istanbul specializing in Econometrics; computer programming in University of Marmara; completing one semester in University of Wollongong-MBA in Australia; Mr. Batgun has the right combination to provide expertise to international world of football

Lecturing at Halic University Physical Education & Sports Faculty & Turkish Football Federation in “Match Analysis & scouting” since 2010; represented Wyscout in Turkey between 2011 to 19; established & managed NIKE Turkey scouting team in 2014 to 21; appeared in international scouting & match analysis seminars as “Key Note Speaker”; invented & managed possibly the worlds first ‘Foundation Level Scouting Courses” in 2011/12/13 which earned him “Sportsman of the Year in Technology” in 2012 by the “Sports Turkey Media”, then received “Scouting Specialist of the Year Award” from “Marka Football” in 2013, followed by receiving “Sample Scouting Department” award in Sportstec Innovation Conference in 2014

Established Fenerbahce Youth Academy match analysis department in 2011, formed senior scouting department of Galatasaray with former Galatasaray Captain Cuneyt Tanman in 2012, established worlds’ first football tech incubation centre “guttobizLab” in 2018 creating chain of football start-up concepts such as Comparisonator, scoutiNgame, ScoutCoin and Chief Scout.
